In accordance with World Health Organization recommendations, applicants for Taiwan (ROC) visas must provide proof of having received the oral polio vaccine or the inactivated polio vaccine within the past year if they have resided in or visited any of the following countries for four weeks or more within the past year: Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Cameroon, Chad, Laos, and South Sudan.
