Yang, Minister of the Mainland Affairs Council Lai Shin-yuan, Vice Minister of National Defense Yang Nien-dzu, and Deputy Minister of the Council for Economic Planning and Development San Gee. To welcome the delegation, Legislative Yuan President Wang Jyng-ping and Minister of Foreign Affairs Timothy C.T. Yang each will host a luncheon in their honour. The delegation also will visit the National Palace Museum, Taipei 101, National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center, King Car Yuan-Shan Whisky Distillery, Center for Traditional Arts, among other cultural sites.

This trip marks the first to Taiwan for nine members of the delegation, which consists of representatives of different political parties, primarily from the House of Commons.
